Ccd Image
4 July 2011

what is the dimension of square ccd array required to capture an image equivalent to the resolution of eye?
The human eye is a very difficult thing to measure in terms of not only resolution, but sharpness and it’s unique optics.
It is supposed that the eye has 6million rods (the receptors being rods and cones) but if you think about how the eye works, only the very centre of your field of view is sharp. This is unlike most photographic lenses with the exception of the holga lens etc.
Do you have an intended application as this will help us to give better advice.
