What is the best (and simplest!) way to make a replacement Battery Cover for a watch?

My husband lost the battery cover on his old Tissot watch. It still runs great, but we need to figure out a good way to cover the battery to keep dirt/sweat/etc… out. I went to multiple jewelers, one of whom even sent the watch in to Tissot to try to get a Replacement Part. However they are unable to sell me a replacement cover. So… what is the best way to create my own cover so that my husband can start using the watch again? I don’t want him to have an excuse to be late anymore!!!
