my eco max valliant boiler is blowing a fuse on the main board can anyone help?
there is no obvious problems on the board it is blowing the first fuse on the board does any one know what it could be? i have checked for shorts but cant find any i will call an engineer but await some good advice first RECESSION AN ALL thanks

You obviously know something of what to do in this situation. You replaced the fuse and it blew again. That was the right thing to do. You then looked for obvious damage. Also correct! You checked for shorts. Again, awesome. Let’s look at the systems you haven’t checked. Do you have the schematic? Double check this: The first board in line should be power distribution and transforming. If so have you checked the line for draw in amps.? It could be that the pump has draw over the norm. Check the amps the motor is supposed to draw by opening the cover and testing at the motor. (After hot-wiring the fuse) Have the test equipment set up and turn on the power for as short a time as possible for a data plate comparison. I suspect either the motor wiring is faulty or there is addition mechanical resistance in the pump housing. If the fuse was blowing without even getting to the point that the pump kicked in than test the heating element in the same way. Do this with each power source drawing system. By elimination you should find the problem.
